Video: Misleading Media, how does science suffer?

‘A new study shows that wine is just as good as one hour in the gym.’ ‘Give eight hugs a day and you will become happier, according to scientists.’ These kinds of misleading headlines are widely used in news media nowadays when reporting on a scientific study. This is a bad thing for science, since it harms its credibility. Why do media outlets so often report untrue information as science? Last Sunday, American presenter John Oliver explained this clearly in his talk show Last Week Tonight.
