Brain aging

There are two types of intelligence: fluid intelligence and crystallized intelligence. Crystallized intelligence refers to learned skills, regularly-practiced habits, and knowledge (e.g., vocabulary). Fluid intelligence refers to cognitive skills such as how quickly we complete a task, our efficiency in problem-solving, and our use of memory. How do these types of intelligence evolve with age and how can they be preserved ?
