Hilde is a PhD candidate at the babyBRAIN lab. She investigates how early social experiences, such as going to daycare, play a role in the development of communicative skills. For this research, she observes children while they play together in daycare. She also takes brain scans (MRI) of the children at two time points, two years apart, to track their brain development. To make the experience more fun for the children, she transforms the MRI scanner into a spaceship!
In her free time, Hilde enjoys kickboxing, going to the gym, taking relaxing walks along the Waal, and (when she finds the time) playing her harp.
