Nietzsche Lam (1989) has her roots in both Canada and Hong Kong. She has a background in Biology and Psychology and Cognitive Science. Currently, she is a PhD at the Donders Institute and the Max Planck Institute for Psycholinguistics. The big questions she asks are how the human brain orchestrates the complex ability of language, and which genes might be involved. She also works on the FieldTrip team, which develops software for analysing electrophysiological data. For the Donders Wonders, her main role is as the English editor; she joined the team when the blog became bilingual. When it comes to fun and interesting activities, sports is everything to her. Although, she is always up for playing music, painting and all things food related. To make things really interesting, she also hopes to learn 10 languages in this lifetime, she’s currently at 6 and a half…
